Watch discards – If many 1-dots have been discarded, no one is collecting them. Safe to discard more!

Track claims – If a player claims a Pung of Red Dragons, they're going for a high-scoring hand.

Play defensively – When someone seems close to winning, discard tiles they've already discarded.
